Instead of another email, notification, or piece of content to scroll past, Letters From a Nomad arrives slowly — as real correspondence in your mailbox.

Twice a month, a multi-page letter from me, Blue, on beautiful stationery designed by me, sharing personal memories from my nomadic life — one chapter at a time.

Plus, present-moment reflections from the life I’m currently living — caring for my elderly mother in Texas, serving our three cats, and preparing for the return to nomadic life in Europe.

Along with printed companions that make the memory more tangible and vary from letter to letter, as the story determines what belongs.

The Story

The story begins before the road physically began, with the beautiful, magical Southern California world I once lived inside, and the changes that turned my world upside down and left me homeless and depressed in Venice Beach.

The opening letters move through:

  • The luminous life before the road
  • The loss of that world and homelessness in LA
  • A dark night of the soul on mushrooms in a Venice Beach garage
  • Burning Man as a threshold to a new life
  • The surreal red double-decker bus ride north to British Columbia
  • The beginning of raw foods, intentional community, and a life fully lived outside the expected path

From there, the story continues chronologically through the first steps and into a life of movement, beauty, difficulty, loss, freedom, solitude, meditation, authenticity, cats, vehicles, and places I loved that eventually led to here and now.

FAQ

What is Letters From a Nomad?

Letters From a Nomad is a serialized nonfiction real-life story experience, told through real correspondence, real photographs, printed companions, and small artifacts of memory.

Twice a month, mailed on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month, you receive the next installment of a true story from my life — written as a physical letter and delivered through the mail.

I write and design everything that comes with each letter you receive, including the envelopes.

Do I start from the beginning?

Yes. All new subscribers begin with Letter No. 1, so they can experience the story from the beginning.

The series is designed to unfold like a memoir by mail.

You are not just receiving whatever happens to be current that month. You are entering a story with a beginning, a rhythm, and a path.

Does the story ever end?

No, it changes form. The Road Here tells the story of the years that led me to this threshold, and it runs until the remembered story catches up with my present life, right before I leave Texas and return to the road. From there, the correspondence continues into what comes next — time with friends across the US before I go, and then Europe, written from the road as it actually happens.

How long does the Founding price last?

The first 100 Founding subscribers will keep their Founding price for as long as their subscription remains continuously active.

Is this a good gift?

Yes, Letters From a Nomad would be a great gift for someone who loves:

  • Real letters in the mail
  • Memoir and personal storytelling
  • Unconventional lives
  • Travel, road life, and nomadic living
  • Mindfulness and conscious living
  • Slow, thoughtful experiences in this increasingly digital world

It is especially good for someone who values meaning over mass-produced gifts.

Can I cancel?

Yes, you can cancel at any time.

Do you offer a money-back guarantee?

Yes. I want you to have enough time to actually receive a couple of letters and sit with them.

You have 30 days from your first letter ship date to decide whether Letters From a Nomad is right for you. If not, contact me and I’ll give you a full refund. You may keep any letters already delivered as my gift.

Meet the Life Behind the Letters

My name is Blue Cobalt, and Letters From a Nomad comes from a life I have actually lived — years in vehicles, desert mornings, raw meals on the road, cats curled into tiny homes, spiritual searching, creative work, deep loss, beauty, transformation, and the long practice of becoming more honestly myself.

I am not writing this as fiction, fantasy, or a themed subscription assembled from the outside.

These letters are drawn from real memories, real places, and the road that shaped me — written now from the threshold of another chapter, as I prepare to return to nomadic life, for my first time on the road in Europe.

Each mailing is created, designed, and sent with care, as an invitation to walk through the story with me, one letter at a time.
